In the wake of the passage of the FAST Act at the end of 2015, motor carriers, freight brokers, shippers and the insurance industry have all struggled to make heads or tails of the “Absolute” BASIC scores that the FMCSA uses to grade the safety performance of motor carriers.
Some 3rd party companies have attempted to replicate the “percentile” BASIC scores. My question is: Why bother?
